I've been modeling assets in VR over the past week and am really stoked to share a few ideas about how to combine VR asset creation with traditional game artist workflows.
Currently, the mesh created in VR still needs to be optimized (especially for the more organic pieces). Overall, Gravity Sketch is the best program for better game mesh, but it can still be necessary to improve the mesh of the models. I find using VR is great for making quick props and it's helpful using your hands to guide asset creation. It's a very 'organic' process.
Please note that you can use this tutorial's process to create a ton of different rock assets at once and be adjusted (ie- you can use a high poly bake for instance to get a smoother result). I hope someone out there finds this helpful :)
